Network Operations Engineer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Network Operations Engineer to support the modernization and security of OT network infrastructure across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring reliable, well-documented, and cyber-resilient plant operations.

The customer is a large international food and beverage group with a diverse portfolio that spans dairy alternatives, early-life and medical nutrition, and bottled water. The organization operates across numerous global markets and is recognized for its commitment to sustainability, responsible nutrition, and the adoption of advanced digital and AI technologies to enhance its operations.

The project is focused on modernizing and securing the OT network infrastructure across multiple manufacturing sites. It includes validating and updating documentation, refining network topology, and ensuring all OT assets align with the renewed hardware — ultimately creating a reliable, cyber-resilient environment that supports uninterrupted plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and updating OT network documentation, cabling diagrams, and asset inventories in NetBox and Claroty xDome.
• Validating physical-to-logical network topology and ensuring proper labeling of racks, panels, and devices.
• Configuring monitoring and alerts for OT network devices in Observium and ensuring asset visibility and performance tracking.
• Supporting OT cybersecurity routines, including firewall rule review, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with security baselines for new assets.
• Assisting with troubleshooting OT network issues (connectivity, VLANs, device health) and coordinating with IT when required.
• Preparing technical reports, maintaining configuration backups, and contributing to standardizing OT documentation across sites.
• Identifying opportunities to automate or improve recurring OT network processes.

Requirements

• Experience as experience Network Engineer for 5+ years.
• CCNA certification or similar experience.
• Solid L2/L3 skills (VLANs, trunks, STP/RSTP, LACP, basic routing).
• Hands-on experience replacing old switches (HP/Aruba → Cisco), executing cutovers, validating configs.
• Confident cabling work — tracing, labeling, updating diagrams, matching physical/logical layouts.
• Understanding of redundancy mechanisms and routine device health checks.
• Familiarity with OT environments (PLC, SCADA, Purdue Model).
• NetBox and Claroty xDome experience.
• Basic firewall rule understanding, network segmentation, access documentation.
• Ability to manage guest WiFi/network access requests.
• Troubleshooting connectivity, latency, VLAN mismatches, faulty cabling, redundancy issues.
• Supporting OT patching, baseline config reviews, and Claroty sensor tuning.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Good English communication skills; bilingual capability.
• Familiarity with OT/ICS cybersecurity frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443).
• CCNP Qualification.
