Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support the redesign and ongoing enhancement of a global trading platform, ensuring smooth delivery, stability, and efficient development across web and mobile systems.
The customer is a global trading services provider offering access to a broad range of financial instruments through proprietary web and mobile platforms. Operating across numerous international markets under multiple regulatory licenses, the organization is recognized for its focus on technological innovation, client support, and educational initiatives within the online trading industry.
The project is focused on a full revamp of the web platform, mobile app, and mobile web version, followed by the implementation of new features and ongoing enhancements. The key objective is to modernize the digital experience and scale development efforts, while the DevOps role centers on optimizing and preparing the current infrastructure to support this large-scale transformation.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing critical infrastructure systems (servers, storage, virtualization, cloud) and aligning architecture with business needs and long-term growth plans.
- Managing the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects — from planning to implementation and delivery — and ensuring timelines, resources, and goals are consistently met.
- Proactively monitoring and maintaining system health, identifying performance bottlenecks, performing capacity planning, and implementing best practices to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Acting as an escalation point for critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis, developing post-incident reviews, and driving continuous improvement through preventive measures.
- Working closely with Security, Development, Networking, DevOps, and Platform teams to ensure system solutions meet cross-functional needs and compliance standards.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting, and promoting governance through best practices and audits.
- Forecasting future growth and building scalable systems to support business expansion, maintaining performance baselines, and planning resource upgrades as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in systems engineering for 7+ years.
- Expertise in Windows and Linux system administration and architecture.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud-native services.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or XenServer).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts.
- Strong knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and alerting systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Thanos.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
