Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a ML Engineer in Kazakhstan to build backend services with predictive and recommendation models for government procurement tenders, improving forecasting accuracy and supporting smarter decision-making.

The customer is a major financial institution providing a wide range of corporate and retail banking services. With an extensive national branch network, the organization serves both individual and business clients through lending, deposits, payment solutions, and various investment and financial products.

The project is focused on developing a backend service that implements recommendation and predictive (forecasting) machine learning models for government procurement tenders. The goal is to analyze tender data, generate accurate predictions, and provide smart recommendations to support decision-making and improve procurement efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Building predictive models (including five internal models) using machine learning solutions.
  • Integrating with the Government Procurement portal.
  • Parsing structured PDF files.
  • Configuring the ETL process for integration with the Government Procurement system.

Requirements

  • Experience in ML Engineering or in a similar role for 1.5+ years.
  • Experience working with government procurement systems in Kazakhstan, with an understanding of data structure and integrations.
  • Experience working with GraphQL.
  • Skills in building forecasting systems and machine learning solutions (ML Engineering, MLOps).
  • Experience in backend API development.
  • Experience in testing and training machine learning models.
  • Experience parsing structured PDF files.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
