Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and applications using Kotlin.
- Implementing business logic, APIs, and integrations with external systems.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance.
- Collaborating with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver new features.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions.
- Maintaining technical documentation and supporting deployment processes.
Requirements
- Experience as a Kotlin Developer or Backend Developer for 2.5+ years.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and JVM ecosystem.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and working with frameworks such as Ktor or Spring Boot (Kotlin-based).
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and reactive patterns.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Understanding of test automation and unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
- Experience working with any frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Experience with Camunda or similar workflow/orchestration engines.
