Andersen is hiring a Project Manager in Germany to lead SAP transformation initiatives, overseeing planning, implementation, and integration of SAP solutions to support seamless, efficient enterprise operations.
The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The company focuses on IT consulting, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed operations, supporting clients across various industries with complex digital-transformation needs. With decades of experience, the customer emphasizes innovation, reliability, and high security standards.
The project is focused on the end-to-end delivery of SAP-based transformation initiatives within the client’s enterprise ecosystem. It involves planning, implementing, and enhancing SAP solutions to ensure seamless integration with business processes and alignment with the overall IT landscape.
Responsibilities
- Leading SAP implementation, migration, rollout or transformation programs within public-sector or automotive business units.
- Managing project scope, budget, schedules, RAID items, governance routines and multi-stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinating SAP functional and technical streams, ensuring alignment with domain-specific processes and compliance requirements.
- Ensuring SAP solution design aligns with public-sector regulations (financial governance, procurement, data retention) or automotive requirements (production planning, logistics, traceability, quality standards).
- Overseeing blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, configuration, integration, testing, data migration and cutover phases.
- Collaborating with business owners, IT leadership, architects and vendors to define priorities, success metrics and acceptance criteria.
- Serving as an escalation point for critical SAP delivery issues affecting business operations.
- Managing change requests, impact assessments and contract alignment within multi-vendor delivery structures.
- Coordinating UAT cycles, defect resolution, readiness assessments and go-live execution.
- Preparing documentation for steering committees, audits, compliance reviews and executive decision-making.
- Ensuring smooth post-go-live stabilization, hypercare and operational handover.
- Driving continuous improvement, standardization and optimisation across SAP processes specific to public or automotive environments.
Requirements
- Experience as a Project manager for 6+ years.
- Experience in IT project management for 6+ years, including leading SAP projects in public-sector and/or automotive environments for 3–4+ years.
- Proven experience delivering SAP solutions in regulated industries or large enterprise environments with complex compliance requirements.
- Hands-on project exposure to SAP S/4HANA and relevant domain modules, such as Public Sector: SAP PSCD, SAP PSM, SAP Funds Management, Grants, SAP HCM, SAP CRM for public agencies and Automotive: SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, EWM, APO/IBP, Manufacturing Execution, Supplier Integration, VMI, JIT/JIS.
- Deep understanding of SAP architecture, integrations, cross-module dependencies, data migration, and cutover processes.
- Experience with SAP Activate, ASAP, or comparable SAP delivery methodologies.
- Ability to manage multi-vendor setups, system integrators, offshore teams, and large cross-functional delivery structures.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific processes, such as public procurement cycles, budget planning, compliance audits; or automotive production, supply chain, logistics, and quality flows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations in high-complexity SAP programs.
- Experience preparing project documentation, decision materials, steering reports, and regulatory compliance documents.
- Knowledge of integration scenarios with legacy platforms, cloud solutions, middleware, and external providers.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
- Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
