Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Dresden to support Kubernetes cluster administration for a large healthcare organization, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient platform operations.

The customer is a large organization operating in the healthcare domain and working with an extensive network of service providers. It supports the coordination of services, oversees quality and compliance processes, and drives the modernization of information systems. The organization focuses on improving operational efficiency, ensuring sustainable service delivery, and supporting long-term development initiatives aimed at broad accessibility.

The project is focused on providing support services for Kubernetes administration, including the setup, configuration, and ongoing operational management of Kubernetes clusters within the customer’s IT environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing the current state of Kubernetes environments and identifying improvement areas.
  • Designing the target-state architecture for Kubernetes clusters.
  • Building and configuring Kubernetes clusters on an open-source basis.
  • Managing container orchestration, deployments, and storage providers.
  • Implementing monitoring, backup, and restore solutions for Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Selecting, analyzing, and defining administration and management tools for Kubernetes clusters.
  • Defining and improving deployment processes and operational workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer for 3+ years.
  • Completed degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and related tools (e.g., Git, Helm, Flux).
  • Knowledge of setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters in a production-related environment.
  • Knowledge of configuring and implementing Kubernetes resources.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and implementation with Terraform and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with common storage systems and data management solutions.
  • Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
  • Level of German – from Advanced and above.
