Andersen is hiring a Data Governance Specialist to build a governed, scalable data platform, improving data transparency, customer insights, and operational efficiency across banking systems.
The customer is a financial services organization providing banking products and digital solutions for individual and business clients. The company operates through an established service network and online platforms and is part of a larger international financial group, supporting ongoing development of its services for a broad client base.
The project is focused on transforming the bank’s fragmented data landscape into a governed, scalable data platform with near real-time capabilities. It introduces a data product–driven approach and strong governance practices to improve customer insights, operational efficiency, and data transparency across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Leading and executing enterprise-wide data governance strategy aligned with business goals.
- Designing and implementing scalable data management systems and governance frameworks.
- Building and maintaining metadata management, data quality, and business glossary capabilities.
- Establishing governance processes, stewardship models, and enforcing GDPR/PII compliance controls.
- Managing metadata lifecycle, data lineage, and conducting impact analysis.
- Implementing data quality frameworks and cataloging standards.
- Enabling trusted self-service analytics through strong governance foundations.
- Overseeing data acquisition, processing, storage, and modelling for BI and visual analytics.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting Azure BI architecture initiatives.
- Training business users and data stewards to strengthen governance practices.
- Applying Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver governance initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Governance Lead for 6+ years
- Experience in designing and implementing long-term strategies for enterprise data management systems and infrastructures for 6+ years
- Experience in building enterprise metadata, data quality, and business glossary capabilities for 6+ years
- Experience in enabling trusted self-service analytics and supporting regulatory compliance initiatives for 6+ years
- Experience in designing governance processes and stewardship models for 6+ years
- Experience in metadata management, data lineage, and impact analysis for 6+ years
- Experience in defining GDPR/PII controls and enforcing data governance policy adoption across organizations for 6+ years
- Experience in implementing data quality frameworks and cataloging policies for 6+ years
- Experience in training and enabling business users to strengthen governance practices for 6+ years
- Experience in data acquisition, processing, storage, and modelling for visual analytics for 6+ years
- Experience in working with Azure BI architecture and Azure resources for 6+ years
- Experience in leading cross-functional collaboration for 6+ years
- Experience in applying Agile and Waterfall methodologies for 6+ years
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
