Java Developer (Lithuania)

Andersen is hiring a Java Developer in Lithuania to build and modernize public-sector digital platforms, delivering scalable backend solutions that improve accessibility, efficiency, and reliability of government services.

The customer is an organization operating in the technology and consulting domain, supporting businesses with the implementation of digital initiatives and process improvements. The company delivers a range of services related to software solutions, system enhancements, and advisory support, helping clients adapt to evolving technological landscapes through flexible engagement approaches and scalable delivery models.

The project is focused on supporting digitalization initiatives in the public sector through the development and modernization of government systems. The team contributes to building new digital services and improving existing platforms to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and reliability of public services.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services using Java.
• Designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Contributing to system modernization and new feature development.
• Working with relational databases and ensuring data integrity.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and test-covered code.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams in structured delivery environments.

Requirements

• Experience working with Java for 3+ years.
• Experience building services with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Oracle or other relational databases.
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and test-covered code Fluent Lithuanian
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Fluent Lithuanian.

Desired skills

• Experience working on the public sector or regulated projects.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
