Andersen is hiring a Data Architect to design a unified data platform for regulatory reporting and analytics, centralizing data sources and improving data quality, reliability, and scalability.
The customer is one of the oldest and most reliable financial institutions in Kazakhstan. It offers a full range of financial services for both individual and corporate clients, including business lending, mortgages, consumer loans, deposits, payment services, and digital banking solutions. The company focuses on reliability, innovation, and sustainable growth, helping clients achieve their financial goals and contributing to the country’s economic development.
The project is focused on creating a unified data source to support regulatory reporting and advanced analytics. The initiative centralizes data from multiple systems, reduces the load on operational platforms, and improves overall data quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Designing the architecture of a Data Warehouse (DWH) as a centralized source of data.
- Developing Lakehouse architecture using MinIO, PostgreSQL, and Apache Iceberg.
- Integrating data from source systems (ABIS, CRM) using Debezium and Airflow.
- Designing CDC strategies, implementing Data Vault, and managing data historization.
- Developing a Data Quality Management (DQM) system using dbt.
- Designing data security mechanisms (encryption, PII masking, and access control).
Requirements
- Experience in data architecture design, preferably in the banking domain, for 5+ years.
- Experience with large-scale data platforms (DWH) and regulatory reporting.
- Experience working with MinIO, PostgreSQL, StarRocks, Apache Iceberg, and dbt.
- Knowledge of CDC, ETL/ELT processes, Data Vault, and Data Governance.
- Experience working with Airflow, Debezium, and Python.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
