QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Summary

Andersen is seeking a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) for a project evolving interconnected travel platforms that support booking, CRM, finance, and partner data management.

The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.

The project is centered on the evolution of a suite of interconnected travel platforms that support booking, CRM, finance, and supplier content management. These systems enable advisors and internal teams to manage itineraries, transactions, and partner data efficiently while ensuring seamless integration and real-time collaboration across the ecosystem.

The position assumes 13 to 21 CET work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Building robust end-to-end, UI, and functional automated tests for web applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Reviewing business and technical requirements and translating them into effective test scenarios.
• Identifying gaps in test coverage and proactively improving automation scope and quality processes.
• Investigating, reproducing, documenting defects, and working closely with developers to support resolution.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contributing to release quality gates.
• Analyzing test execution results, reporting quality metrics, and providing clear feedback to stakeholders.
• Supporting and improving test environments, test data management, and automation best practices.
• Mentoring less experienced QA engineers and contributing to raising the overall quality maturity of the team.

Requirements

• Experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation, for 4+ years.
• Proven hands-on experience with TypeScript in test automation projects.
• Strong practical experience with Playwright for web test automation.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and QA methodologies.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones.
• Strong experience with API testing and validation of backend integrations.
• Good understanding of CI/CD processes and experience integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with performance or load testing tools.
• Knowledge of backend testing and database validation.
• Experience with cloud-based test environments.
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized test execution.
• Experience mentoring team members or leading QA initiatives.
• Exposure to e-commerce, travel, or other high-traffic customer-facing platforms.
