Java Developer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Java Developer for a project developing and enhancing a digital platform that supports the full lifecycle of lending services and financial operations.

The customer is a prominent financial institution in Central Asia, offering a wide range of services to individuals and businesses. With a focus on digital transformation, the company leverages advanced technologies to enhance efficiency, security, and customer experience. It invests in modern infrastructure, including cloud solutions, data centers, and cybersecurity measures, to support its growing operations and meet client needs.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing the bank’s credit platform that supports the full lending lifecycle. It covers processes from loan application and approval to credit management and debt collection, ensuring reliable and scalable digital lending services.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services in Java for banking systems.
• Participating in service architecture design and discussing technical solutions.
• Implementing and maintaining REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Working with message brokers for asynchronous service communication.
• Optimizing application performance and SQL queries.
• Participating in the development and maintenance of microservices architecture based on the Spring ecosystem.
• Preparing and maintaining Docker containers and participating in service deployment in Kubernetes.
• Configuring and using logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing systems.
• Participating in code reviews, following development standards, and improving code quality.
• Mentoring Junior developers and supporting their technical growth.

Requirements

• Commercial experience in Java development for 2+ years.
• Strong knowledge of JVM (GC, memory management, JIT).
• Experience with Spring Boot / Spring Cloud.
• Experience working with service discovery and Spring Cloud tools (Eureka or Consul, Feign, Circuit Breaker).
• Practical experience with message brokers Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries (EXPLAIN, indexes).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker and understanding Kubernetes.
• Experience configuring distributed tracing and monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Zipkin, Jaeger, Prometheus).
• Experience using MapStruct and Lombok libraries and understanding DTO architecture.
• Experience working with CI/CD (GitLab CI or Jenkins) and pipeline configuration.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
