Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (Python) for a project building a platform for financial crime checks, ensuring scalability, standardized rules, and reliable automated testing.
The customer is a UK-based financial services provider specializing in digital banking solutions. Operating on a fully cloud-based platform, the company offers a range of innovative products, including savings accounts, loans, and mortgages, designed to cater to specific customer needs. The project is focused on consolidating financial crime checks into a unified orchestration platform to improve scalability, standardize rules, and enhance risk management. It also includes developing automated testing and regression suites to ensure reliable implementation and system quality.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests using Python.
- Implementing and enhancing test automation frameworks and BDD scenarios.
- Creating and maintaining test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
- Executing regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Analyzing test results and investigating failures to determine root causes.
- Collaborating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.
Requirements
- Experience in test automation using Python for 5+ years.
- Hands-on experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Understanding of BDD principles and test scenario design.
- Domain experience in retail or commercial banking, preferably in fraud, KYC, or credit checking.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
- Ability to analyze test results, identify issues, and troubleshoot failures independently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with Playwright and Behave (BDD).
