Andersen is hiring a Senior AI Engineer (RAG) to build AI features and scalable infrastructure for a cloud platform, enabling intelligent workflows, analytics, and reliable system performance.
The customer is an international company delivering professional and technology-enabled solutions that support effective collaboration, structured communication, and operational efficiency for organizations. The project is focused on enhancing a secure, cloud-based board management platform with intuitive meeting tools, real-time collaboration, and advanced analytics. It also includes building and maintaining scalable AI infrastructure, orchestration patterns, and observability to ensure reliable and intelligent platform performance.
Responsibilities
- Translating product requirements into AI workflows and quality criteria.
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing prompts using LangFuse.
- Building evaluation datasets from real customer scenarios.
- Establishing quality gates and measurement systems (precision, recall, accuracy).
- Setting up and maintaining LangFuse for observability and prompt experimentation.
- Tuning workflows based on production telemetry and evaluation results.
- Partnering with Product and QE on acceptance criteria and test strategy.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering for 6+ years, including building and operating production systems.
- Experience in designing and scaling enterprise RAG or semantic search systems for 3+ years.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with .NET/C# and building production applications on .NET Core with deep expertise.
- Experience with embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search (indexing, hybrid retrieval, ranking), Azure AI Search preferred.
- Experience in designing retrievals for complex, multimodal content (PDFs, transcripts, structured data).
- Experience in evaluating and improving retrieval systems, including build vs. optimize vs. rebuild decisions.
- Experience with document processing pipelines (chunking, metadata, multimodal handling, hybrid search).
- Experience with RAG evaluation methods (automated evaluations, LLM-as-judge, benchmarking).
- Experience with observability and tracing in AI/search systems (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Arize, Langfuse).
- Understanding content safety and PII handling data pipelines.
- Experience with LLM integration and prompt engineering for RAG (context management, grounding).
- Ability to scale technical patterns across teams via hands-on work, reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, PlayerZero).
- Strong communication skills, including explaining trade-offs and documenting complex systems.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with Azure Content Understanding or Azure AI Document Intelligence for multimodal document processing, including extraction from PDFs with complex layouts and audio/video content.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Semantic Kernel or comparable orchestration frameworks and how RAG pipelines integrate with broader agentic workflows.
- Experience operating in regulated or enterprise environments with strict compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Background in SaaS platforms with multi-tenant data isolation and retrieval requirements.
- Experience working across multiple product lines or platform teams, shaping shared patterns adopted beyond a single codebase.
