System/Business Analyst

Summary

Andersen is seeking a System/Business Analyst for a project developing a banking loyalty platform, implementing bonus programs to improve customer engagement and retention.

The customer is the first and largest bank of Azerbaijan. It serves more than 5 million individuals and 22 thousand legal entities in different sectors of the economy. The bank offers a wide range of banking products and services, as well as participates in social and cultural projects. It cooperates with leading international financial institutions, such as Citibank N.A., Standard Chartered and HSBC, and maintains strong partnerships with Mastercard and Visa.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a loyalty platform for a banking environment. It includes implementing and managing bonus programs for clients and partners to improve engagement and customer retention.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing business and system requirements for loyalty program features, including bonus accrual, redemption, and partner integrations.
• Reading and describing REST APIs using Swagger and Postman, documenting request/response structures and error handling.
• Mapping data between frontend (mobile and web applications), backend services, and core banking systems for loyalty transactions.
• Describing interactions between frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless data flow for bonus operations across iOS and Android platforms.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, project managers) to ensure business requirements are fully understood an implemented.
• Analyzing complex business processes and systems within the banking loyalty domain, identifying improvements and integration points.
• Documenting integration requirements for partner systems and banking products, ensuring alignment with loyalty program logic.
• Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into clear specifications and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Experience as a System/Business Analyst for 3+ years.
• Experience in system/business analysis and requirements gathering, preferably in the fintech or banking industry.
• Experience in both systems analysis and business analysis
• Experience with Swagger.
• Experience reading and describing APIs.
• Experience with Postman.
• Experience describing interactions between Frontend and Backend.
• Experience in data mapping.
• Experience in creating C4 diagrams (component/container level) to model system architecture.
• Experience in sequence diagram creation for process and system flow visualization.
• Familiarity with banking products and services.
• Experience in mobile application development, including knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and mobile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex business processes and systems.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure that business requirements are met.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience in PostgreSQL (schema design, query analysis), and MongoDB knowledge.
