AI Engineer (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Summary

Andersen is hiring an AI Engineer to join its team for working with a company from the UAE. This position requires on-site in the Abu Dhabi office, but we are also open to considering candidates from other countries for relocation.

The customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem.

The project focuses on digital transformation in the UAE to develop and support digital solutions, enhance social services, strengthen public engagement, advance international relations, and optimize administrative processes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and deploying machine learning models for AI-driven applications.
• Utilizing TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn for AI/ML development.
• Working on NLP, image recognition, and predictive analytics
• Optimizing AI models for scalability and real-time processing.
• Designing and developing end-to-end AI solutions, from data collection to model deployment.
• Building and maintaining data pipelines for training and inference, ensuring efficient data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Implementing and optimizing deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, etc.).
• Researching and experimenting with cutting-edge AI techniques to improve model accuracy and performance.
• Developing and deploying AI models using cloud platforms (Azure, Oracle) and edge computing solutions.
• Implementing model monitoring, retraining, and drift detection to maintain AI system reliability.
• Collaborating with software engineers to integrate AI models into production systems and APIs.
• Optimizing AI models for energy efficiency and hardware acceleration (e.g., TensorRT, ONNX, TPU, CUDA).
• Ensuring AI model security, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices.
• Documenting AI development workflows, methodologies, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience as an AI Engineer for 2+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Python (PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, and time-series forecasting.
• Experience in deploying AI models via REST APIs, Flask, FastAPI, or gRPC.
• Understanding of MLOps (model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, and retraining).
• Familiarity with cloud-based AI services (Azure ML).
• Knowledge of distributed computing (Apache Spark, Ray, Dask) for big data processing.
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing technologies.
• Familiarity with hardware acceleration (GPUs, TPUs, FPGAs) for AI workloads.
• Understanding of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and explainable AI (XAI).
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
