SAP ABAP Developer in the EU

Andersen is hiring a SAP ABAP Developer in the EU for a project implementing enterprise SAP solutions and optimizing business processes in cloud environments.

The project is focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise SAP solutions within a cloud-based and hybrid system landscape for large-scale organizations. The main goal is to enable and optimize end-to-end business processes across core domains such as finance, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, HR, and analytics using SAP technologies.

Responsibilities

• Developing, enhancing and maintaining SAP backend solutions using ABAP.
• Designing and implementing technical components based on functional requirements.
• Working with standard SAP objects and custom developments (reports, interfaces, enhancements).
• Building and maintaining data models and services (e.g. CDS views, OData).
• Participating in integration activities between SAP and external systems.
• Performing code optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Contributing to technical design discussions and solution architecture.
• Collaborating with functional consultants and cross-functional teams.
• Supporting testing, deployment, and maintenance activities across environments.

Requirements

• Experience in SAP ABAP development for 4 years.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming and core SAP development concepts.
• Experience with enhancements, BAdIs, user-exits, and custom developments.
• Familiarity with data modeling and service development (e.g. CDS, OData).
• Experience working with integration scenarios and interfaces.
• Solid debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and transport management.
• Ability to read and implement functional specifications.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of German – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Understanding of modern SAP development approaches.
