Andersen is hiring a Senior Lead Developer / Technical Lead for a project modernizing a global Azure-based platform, improving scalability, engineering processes, and system stability.
The customer is an international company focused on business process optimization and operational improvement. The organization supports enterprises from various industries in enhancing efficiency, improving workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through modern management practices and transformation strategies.
The project is focused on stabilizing and modernizing a global business platform hosted on Azure, supporting consultancy management, client onboarding, invoicing, and training delivery. It includes improving system scalability, enhancing engineering processes, and strengthening technical leadership and collaboration across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the development and modernization of internal platforms and applications, including custom applications and intranet systems.
- Acting as a technical lead and mentor for development efforts; balance hands-on contribution with leadership responsibility.
- Helping establish engineering best practices, scalable development workflows, and improved development processes.
- Improving documentation standards across the engineering organization and embed them in day-to-day delivery.
- Collaborating with the System Architect on future-state implementation strategy and execution of the modernization roadmap.
- Supporting API integrations and cloud-based application development across the Azure environment.
- Helping reduce operational dependency on tribal knowledge and on any single contributor.
- Participating in technical planning and roadmap discussions with leadership.
- Improving onboarding and development handoff processes so that new engineers can ramp up without relying on undocumented context.
- Partnering with the existing senior developer to share context, distribute knowledge, and stabilize delivery.
Requirements
- Professional software development experience for 5+ years.
- Strong experience within the Microsoft / Azure ecosystem, including cloud-based application development.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or acting as a lead developer (technical lead, tech lead, lead engineer).
- Experience with scalable enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience with APIs and integrations — design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Ability to work autonomously in partially undocumented environments, independently structuring processes and establishing documentation discipline.
- Strong documentation and written communication skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with the current stack at an assessment / contribution level: PHP backend, Microsoft SQL Server, and React frontend on Microsoft Azure.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with intranet or enterprise portal systems.
- Experience modernizing older or heavily custom-built applications.
- Exposure to cloud-native development practices on Azure (App Service, Functions, AKS, Service Bus, API Management, etc.).
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams across multiple regions.
- Agile / Scrum experience.
- Experience helping a team adopt or improve documentation, onboarding, and handoff standards.
- AI / Microsoft Copilot familiarity.
