Summary

Andersen is hiring a Lead AI Engineer for a project building AI agents and intelligent assistants that automate communication, analysis, and business workflows.

The customer is a technology-focused company specializing in AI-driven solutions and digital innovation for businesses across multiple industries. The organization develops intelligent platforms and automation tools designed to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making. The company operates in an international environment with a strong focus on scalable architecture, modern engineering practices, and the practical implementation of advanced AI technologies.

The project is focused on developing a platform for creating AI agents without technical expertise. It enables businesses to deploy plug-and-play AI assistants that handle communication, reporting, analysis, and collaboration tasks across channels such as email, phone, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and deploying production-grade agentic AI systems, moving beyond prototypes to scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Developing and optimizing core agent capabilities, including prompt design, tool integration, memory management, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Implementing and orchestrating multi-agent architectures (e.g., planner–executor, supervisor, handoff patterns) using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or similar.
  • Evaluating, debugging, and improving agent performance, including handling non-deterministic behavior and defining robust evaluation strategies (evals, regression suites, golden datasets).
  • Leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality and production readiness.
  • Building and maintaining end-to-end infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, databases, logging, monitoring, and error tracking systems.
  • Ensuring strong testing coverage across the stack (unit, integration, end-to-end), with special focus on testing AI-driven systems.
  • Developing and maintaining frontend components and SaaS applications using React/Next.js, including multi-tenant architectures, RBAC, onboarding flows, and conversational interfaces.
  • Applying security best practices across the system, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and mitigation of LLM-specific risks (e.g., prompt injection, tool misuse).
  • Designing systems with compliance in mind (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), ensuring proper handling of user data and audit readiness.
  • Taking ownership of features and systems end-to-end, from ideation to deployment and iteration.
  • Operating effectively in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing speed and quality while adapting to evolving priorities.

Requirements

  • Experience as an AI Engineer for 3+ years.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering production-ready agentic AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of prompt engineering, tools/skills, memory management, embeddings, RAG, and MCP.
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration patterns and frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalents.
  • Ability to evaluate agent quality, debug non-deterministic behavior, and identify when LLMs are not the right solution.
  • Active use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Ability to rapidly build scalable, maintainable, and production-ready software.
  • Experience setting up full development ecosystems: Git workflows, CI/CD, DB provisioning/migrations, logging, monitoring, backups, and error tracking.
  • Strong testing practices across unit, integration, E2E, and LLM-specific evaluations/regression suites.
  • Experience with React/Next.js and component-based UI development.
  • Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms, including RBAC, onboarding flows, admin dashboards, and conversation UIs.
  • Strong security mindset, including authentication/authorization, secrets management, encryption, OWASP Top 10, and LLM-specific risks (prompt injection, tool abuse).
  • Understanding of SOC 2, GDPR, and secure handling of customer data and conversation logs.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving startup environments, manage shifting priorities, and make effective decisions under ambiguity.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
