UX/UI Designer (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a UX/UI Designer in Abu Dhabi for a project supporting digital transformation and creating modern user experiences for public services.

The customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem.

The project focuses on digital transformation in the UAE to develop and support digital solutions, enhance social services, strengthen public engagement, advance international relations, and optimize administrative processes.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for scoping and planning UX projects.
• Engaging with product management, engineering, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to understand the project.
• Conducting concept and usability testing and gathering feedback.
• Leveraging user research to make product improvements.
• Developing and presenting documentation, user flows, annotated wireframes, interactive prototypes, personas and other research artifacts.
• Creating and maintaining usability documentation.
• Demonstrating track record with applying best practices in usability heuristics.
• Ensuring that established design standards are consistently and appropriately applied within design work.
• Communicating regularly with agile development team through development sprints.
• Gathering requirements from product management, engineering, and business stakeholders and being able to build solutions that fit those needs.
• Initiating and carrying out continued user research and discovery.
• Creating and updating user personas, user journeys and site maps.
• Translating concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows.
• Solving complex interaction problems, humanizing product ideas and developing these ideas into elegant application design.

Requirements

• Experience as a Product Designer or in a similar role for 5+ years.
• Deep knowledge of modern UI/UX design processes and human-centered design principles.
• Understanding of UX principles, personas, and usability.
• Good communication skills and ownership of identifying design steps from goals and vision.
• Empathy, the ability to connect with people and ensure that their needs come first. 
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
