QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) for a project developing fintech platforms and ensuring quality, reliability, and performance of digital solutions.

The customer is an international company in the financial services sector, providing technology-driven solutions and specialized services for institutional clients. The organization combines advanced analytics, data-driven insights, and modern software platforms to support operations in dynamic and regulated markets. The project is focused on developing advanced fintech solutions for trading and financial analytics. It includes enhancing a data-driven analytics platform and building web-based trading applications that provide real-time insights, visualization tools, and decision-support capabilities for financial market participants.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the development strategy for auto testing in the company.
• Creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Writing clear and maintainable JavaScript code for test automation.
• Identifying test scenarios.
• Detecting issues and inconsistencies in web applications during test execution.
• Documenting bugs and reporting them to the development team using Jira.
• Working closely with developers, the product manager, and the QA team to understand requirements and functionality.
• Ensuring Cypress is integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Requirements

• Experience in QA Automation for 3+ years.
• Experience with Cypress for writing and executing automated tests.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, understanding of HTML, CSS, and the DOM structure for web application testing.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and scenarios.
• Ability to identify and analyze bugs in web applications.
• Basic debugging skills to determine the root cause of test failures.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how test automation integrates into them.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
