Summary

Andersen is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for a project developing intelligent travel technology solutions and enhancing large-scale digital platforms with AI-driven capabilities.

The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a travel technology platform that connects travel agencies and tour operators with a global network of suppliers. It enables real-time access to travel products and services, supporting large-scale transaction processing, booking operations, and seamless travel distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining scalable ML pipelines.
  • Building robust data ingestion, feature engineering, and model training pipelines to ensure reproducibility and production readiness.
  • Deploying and monitoring models in production.
  • Leading model serving (APIs, batch inference), track performance and data drift, and implementing automated retraining triggers.
  • Optimizing model efficiency and infrastructure.
  • Reducing inference latency and cost via quantization, pruning, GPU tuning, and distributed training (e.g., PyTorch DDP, Horovod).
  • Establishing MLOps best practices across teams.
  • Implementig CI/CD for models, versioning (DVC/MLflow), and shared tooling (feature stores, templates) to accelerate delivery.
  • Collaborating on requirements and technical trade-offs.
  • Working with PMs and stakeholders to translate business needs into ML solutions, and communicate risks (data quality, performance, scalability).

Requirements

  • Experience developing and deploying production-grade ML solutions (NLP, computer vision, and/or time-series analytics) for 5+ years.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow/Keras.
  • Hands-on experience building and exposing ML models as services for integration by other applications (e.g., FastAPI-based inference APIs).
  • Experience with modern LLM and transformer-based approaches, including Hugging Face Transformers, RAG pipelines, and vector databases (FAISS, etc.).
  • Solid data engineering skills with tools such as Apache Spark/PySpark, Airflow, Kafka, and Databricks for building scalable data and ML pipelines.
  • Experience deploying and containerizing models using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with ML lifecycle tooling and monitoring: MLflow, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience with OCR-based document processing and/or multimodal ML systems (e.g., Azure Document Intelligence, AWS Textract, PyMuPDF).
  • Proficiency with data manipulation libraries: Pandas, Polars, NumPy, Dask.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
