Andersen is hiring a Backend (C#/.NET) Developer for a project developing insurance analytics solutions that support risk assessment, data-driven insights, and financial decision-making.
The customer is a global organization operating in the professional services domain. It provides a range of advisory and analytical support to organizations across multiple industries, helping them improve business performance and address complex operational challenges. The company leverages data, industry knowledge, and digital tools to deliver practical solutions, supporting decision-making, organizational development, and long-term efficiency.
The project is focused on enhancing an insurance analytics platform that helps insurers and reinsurers perform loss reserving and claims analysis. It combines actuarial methodologies, machine learning, and advanced data analytics to deliver accurate, transparent, and auditable insights for risk management and financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Primarily working on MLR desktop application with a focus on Smart Search and component updates, and occasionally on other standalone tools owned by the team. So, some of the work will be a math driven role with an emphasis on correct numbers checked through extensive automated tests. It’s using machine learning algorithms.
- Working with the Product Owner to define, refine and deliver the product backlog.
- Designing and documenting software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
- Implementing and refactoring product code (C#), following best practices for maintainability, testability and performance.
- Implementing unit tests, developing test frameworks and associated automated test cases.
- Reviewing and debugging code to identify defects, performance bottlenecks or technical debt.
- Working closely with test engineers to guarantee suitable test coverage, identifying and executing manual tests if necessary.
- Participating in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives, striving to continuously improve the team velocity, its processes and engineering practices.
- Using of AI to support the development.
Requirements
- Proficient in software development using C# .NET for 3+ years.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle in a commercial/production environment: requirements capture and analysis, estimation, detailed software design, implementation, unit and system-level testing, installation and deployment, maintenance.
- Experience with software engineering best practices: object-oriented design and implementation, design patterns, SOLID principles, Agile and Extreme Programming methodologies.
- SQL Server.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of Python is desirable.
- Experience with ML/algorithms.
- Experience with desktop applications (WPF, WinForms, etc.).
