Product Owner (Muscat, Oman)

The IT company Andersen invites a Product Owner to join its team for working with a company from Oman.
This position requires on-site in the Muscat office, but we are also open to considering candidates from other countries for relocation.
The customer is a pioneering financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman. It aims to support the housing and construction sectors, contributing to the country's economic development. The bank focuses on achieving shareholder objectives and developing human capital through efficient banking operations and a motivating work environment. It actively supports Omani citizens by offering subsidized financing and reducing waiting list delays.
The project is to support the governance, strategic planning, and operational alignment of the Super App and broader housing ecosystem.
The project assumes a Sunday through Thursday work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Aligning governance structures with regulatory requirements and compliance needs.
- Establishing governance and delivery protocols to ensure smooth implementation.
- Developing a Concept Design Paper and defining feature sequencing based on dependencies.
- Conducting stakeholder workshops and aligning workflows with compliance standards.
- Implementing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Experience in the banking industry for 3+ years.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in launching ecosystems or super apps.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in governance structure alignment and risk management.
- Ability to develop strategic documentation and define feature roadmaps.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
