Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a SharePoint Solutions Specialist to join its team for working with a company from the UAE.

This position requires on-site in the Abu Dhabi office, but we are also open to considering candidates from other countries for relocation.

The customer is a government entity that manages public affairs and oversees various corporate and philanthropic projects. The company is embarking on a transformative digital journey to enhance its operational efficiency and customer experiences.

The project focuses on digital transformation in the UAE to develop and support digital solutions, enhance social services, strengthen public engagement, advance international relations, and optimize administrative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, configuring, and implementing SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) solutions to support document workflows, departmental collaboration, and intranet portals.
  • Enhancing and modernizing existing SharePoint SE sites, libraries, forms, and business processes using out-of-the-box features and custom development.
  • Developing custom solutions using SharePoint Add-ins, JavaScript (JSLink), C#, REST APIs, and SharePoint Designer workflows (where still in use).
  • Customizing frontend experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and traditional SharePoint branding techniques.
  • Implementing and optimizing list and library structures, metadata, content types, and document sets according to taxonomy and retention policies.
  • Integrating SharePoint SE with on-prem systems (e.g., ERP, FileNet, Active Directory) using REST APIs, BCS (Business Connectivity Services), and custom services.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices in SharePoint governance, permissions, backup/recovery, and system performance tuning.
  • Providing technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge transfer to IT teams and site owners.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) or SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) for 5+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of both frontend and backend development for SharePoint.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SPFx for building responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) and integration with SharePoint.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint REST APIs, custom web parts, list and library customizations, and lookups.
  • Ability to analyze and enhance existing SharePoint applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
  • Understanding of SharePoint architecture, permission models, and content management features.
  • Strong understanding of solution design, UI/UX principles, and responsive design standards.
  • Experience in producing technical documentation and conducting knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Microsoft SharePoint or Microsoft 365 certification.
