Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Data Modeler/Engineer to work on a project for one of our customers in Georgia.

The customer is the first fully digital neobank in Georgia, existing solely on mobile phones. Since 2015, the company has been providing convenient and secure financial services, including quick loans, money transfers, utility payments, and card management, all without bureaucracy or hidden fees.

The project is modernizing data infrastructure by migrating legacy pipelines to a new platform, implementing an on-premises LakeHouse architecture, applying PII anonymization/tokenization, and developing analytics applications for users and automated systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designing data models that support the migration of legacy pipelines to a modern data platform.
  • Creating and maintaining data models aligned with on-premise LakeHouse architecture.
  • Developing data structures that enable efficient anonymization and tokenization of PII.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure data models support scalable and maintainable pipelines.
  • Building dimensional models to power user-facing and machine-driven analytics applications.
  • Ensuring consistency and integrity of data models across systems and workflows.
  • Documenting and governing data models to align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in data modeling, database design, or related role, for 5+ years.
  • Experience with on-premises infrastructure and hybrid data environments.
  • Expertise in normalization and denormalization, including trade-offs between normalized (3NF/5NF) and dimensional models (star/snowflake).
  • Mastery of Conceptual, Logical, and Physical modelling stages.
  • Strong proficiency in Entity-Relationship (ER) modelling using Crow’s Foot notation.
  • Experience designing data flow diagrams and mapping CRUD operations to data lifecycle.
  • Experience modelling for performance, including indexing, partitioning, and surrogate key usage.
  • Experience with dimensional modelling, including fact grain definition, SCD types 1–3, and Role-playing, conformed, degenerate and junk dimensions and others.
  • Deep familiarity with Data Vault 2.0: Hubs, Links, Satellites, and Point-in-Time (PIT) and Bridge tables.
  • Experience in data modelling for resilience, including soft deletes, auditability, and historical traceability.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of RDBMS platforms (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows and how data models support CDC, batch, and micro-batch loading strategies.
  • Experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin, Toad, SAP Power Designer, or dbt.
  • Familiarity with data streaming vs batch design considerations (immutability, schema evolution, late arrival handling).
  • Experience modelling for and working with NoSQL databases, including Neo4j, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.
  • Understanding of internal data storage, indexing, and trade-offs.
  • Experience mapping document/graph models to business use cases.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience working in real-time analytics or streaming environments (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management tools and practices.
  • Experience modelling for Back-end and front-end.
  • GDPR and PII anonymization (tokenization, vaults, erasure workflows).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Automation of modelling or metadata tasks using Python, Scala, or scripting languages.
  • Understanding of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, and Databricks.
