System/Business Analyst

Summary

Andersen, an international IT company, invites a System/Business Analyst to work on a project in the field of FinTech for one of our Austrian customers.

The customer is a global B2B2C insurance and assistance leader offering global solutions that span international health and life insurance, travel insurance, automotive and maintenance. The company offers high-tech products and solutions that go beyond traditional insurance and are easily integrated into partners' businesses or sold directly to clients through the company's brands.

The project focuses on the collection of aggregated financial and user data across the customer's business.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the premium and unearned premium calculation tool.
• Designing and architecting solutions using Java and Angular, ensuring that the tool is robust, scalable, and user-friendly. Knowledge of Oracle and Kafka will be advantageous in optimizing data handling and integration.
• Acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
• Collaborating with developers to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, facilitating seamless implementation.
• Utilizing knowledge of Oracle and Kafka to enhance data integration and processing capabilities within the tool.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, design specifications, user manuals, and process flows.
• Providing training and ongoing support to users, ensuring they are equipped to effectively utilize the tool and resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a System/Business Analyst for 3+ years.
• Experience of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with Web Services.
• Experience in documenting requirements in the User Story format.
• Experience in designing and developing software documentation.
• Experience with Postman/Swagger/SoapUI.
• Experience in designing REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience in modeling business processes (UML, ERD, BPMN).
• Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (at least Jira and Confluence).
• Ability to work closely with development teams to guide implementation.
• Experience in business analysis, including requirement gathering and documentation.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Familiarity with Oracle databases.
• Experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of Java and Angular technologies.
• Background in insurance or financial domains, especially premium calculations.
