Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a Lead QA Engineer to work on a large-scale project for one of our Canadian partners.

The customer is a luxury travel technology and procurement company with industry-leading booking platforms that enhance the efficiency of travel professionals and maximize their revenue opportunities. The company handles over $1 billion in transactions annually and has a team of 2,200+ travel experts.

The project is an actual web platform (travel services industry) for clients in the North American market.

Responsibilities

  • Leading quality assurance efforts across 4 pods, ensuring alignment in QA strategy, standards, and execution.
  • Planning, designing, and implementing effective QA processes, ensuring both manual and automated coverage.
  • Performing and supervising testing activities including API testing, regression testing, and UI/UX testing.
  • Bug reporting and investigation.
  • Creating and maintaining test cases aligned with user stories.
  • Analyzing and clearly communicating test results to team members, supporting timely resolution.
  • Driving implementation of testing standards across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and end-user expectations.
  • Communicating test progress, blockers, and risks to all stakeholders.
  • Reviewing test results, document findings, and supporting production readiness and sign-offs.
  • Maintaining and evolving test documentation and QA knowledge base.
  • Participating actively in team ceremonies and offering strategic QA improvements and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience as a QA Engineer for 4+ years.
  • Experience in leadership or coordination capacity for 1+ year.
  • Strong experience in API testing.
  • Solid knowledge of bug lifecycle, reporting best practices, and triaging.
  • Strong hands-on experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Solid understanding of software development and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to test from both technical and end-user perspectives.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with Xray or similar test management tools.
