The IT company Andersen invites a Fintech Сompliance Engineer for a USA-based client developing an airline-owned global travel payment platform aimed at streamlining and optimizing merchant payment operations.
The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world’s airlines. The network consists of major airlines that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of merchants around the world for air, rail, cruise and travel agency payments.
The project is a payment technology that will enhance the efficiency and profitability of merchant payment operations through a comprehensive, airline-centric payment platform.
Responsibilities
- Managing compliance-related tasks and responsibilities.
- Continuously analyzing the scope and identifying potential features that may impact compliance.
- Consulting the team on regulatory requirements and aligning them with system implementation (e.g., checklists vs. formal requirements).
- Ensuring all team members are addressing and handling regulatory obligations.
- Advising the team on local personal data requirements and regional compliance standards.
- Identifying key compliance domains (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, AML, data residency, industry-specific regulations) relevant to the UCL and its target markets.
- Conducting high-level research on applicable regulations and standards in prioritized markets.
- Collaborating with Business Analysts to integrate compliance considerations into the project scope and objectives.
- Liaising with Solution, Data, and Security Architects to align compliance requirements with architectural decisions (e.g., data storage, encryption, access control, deployment models).
- Clearly articulating complex compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience as a Compliance Engineer for 3+ years.
- Proven experience in identifying and interpreting compliance requirements from various regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS, SOX, ISO 27001).
- Experience working with projects involving payment processing, financial data, or personally identifiable information (PII).
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective compliance offerings and challenges.
- Strong understanding of key compliance domains, particularly data privacy and security.
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize information from various sources.
- Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
