Andersen seeks a Lead Business Analyst for a major banking project with a UAE financial institution. The role involves replacing a back-office system to boost efficiency, modernize infrastructure, and ensure scalability across brokerage and market-making services.
The customer is a UAE-based public financial institution headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority, it offers a comprehensive range of financial services, including brokerage, asset management, corporate finance advisory, and market making. Through strategic partnerships in the GCC region and a focus on digital innovation – such as a proprietary trading app and expanded access to global markets – the customer continues to strengthen its market position and deliver value-driven, sustainable financial solutions.
The project aims to fully replace the existing back-office operations system that supports key service lines, including Retail Brokerage, Institutional Brokerage, and Market Making & Liquidity Providing.
Responsibilities
- Setting up priorities for the collection of functional requirements.
- Introducing best practices in business analysis and product ownership (incl. methodologies, documentation templates, etc.).
- Assisting in the features prioritization and roadmap creation.
- Creating business requirements and GAP analysis documents.
- Assisting Architect in the preparation of technical description from the perspective of matching the functional features of the solution with the defined technical modules.
Requirements
- Commercial experience as a Business Analyst for 4+ years.
- Strong experience in the fintech domain.
- Strong experience in Discovery Phase.
- Experience with Web Services.
- Experience in documenting requirements in the User Story format.
- Deep knowledge in all techniques of requirements elicitation, experience in requirements management.
- Experience in designing and developing software documentation.
- Experience in designing REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience in modeling business processes (UML, ERD, BPMN).
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of requirements management tools (at least Jira and Confluence).
- Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information from multiple sources.
- Level of English – Upper-Intermediate or above.
