Delivery Manager

Summary

Andersen is looking for a Delivery Manager to join a project with a UK-based digital bank. The role focuses on expanding savings and mortgage products, improving internal systems, and accelerating product delivery to support business growth.

The customer is a UK-based digital bank. This innovative financial institution specializes in delivering straightforward savings and lending products through a modular, tech-driven approach. With operations rooted in Wales and London, it focuses on underserved customer segments by offering tailored solutions such as dynamic-rate personal loans and simplified mortgage services. It continues to grow rapidly, combining fintech agility with the stability of a fully licensed bank.

The project is focused on three strategic areas of business growth: expanding savings products to enhance market flexibility and support mortgage offerings, developing and launching new mortgage solutions with external system integrations, and building internal infrastructure for data governance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coaching, supporting, and enabling teams to improve ways of working, including the flow of work through the team and value generated (lean thinking).
• Managing Pod priorities and backlog with Product Managers and Tech Leads.
• Leading Pod initiatives from start to production.
• Understanding requirements and implementation of Pod content.
• Constructing and updating milestone plans.
• Ensuring initiatives stay on track and monitoring delivery predictability.
• Maintaining risks, dependencies, and issues log.
• Managing resources and workload within the Pod.
• Reporting to stakeholders and ensuring effective communication.
• Removing blockers and keeping documentation up to date.

Requirements

• Experience as a Delivery Manager for 5+ years.
• Experience working in a software development agile delivery role within a continuous delivery organization.
• Experience in banking/fintech, good understanding of technical and financial business concepts.
• Experience leading/good understanding of data-focused projects.
• Fast learners with an interest in financial services and technology.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
• Solid understanding of modern-day project management methodologies.
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Able to resolve conflicting priorities and have difficult conversations with stakeholders where required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a variety of audiences (developers, non-technical, clients, senior stakeholders).
• Experience utilizing advanced features of JIRA (and the wider Atlassian suite).
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.
