Andersen is hiring a SysOps Engineer in London, UK for a project with a U.S. lighting solutions company. The role includes IT support, covering infrastructure, and user assistance.

The project is focused on providing comprehensive IT support for a new office in London, with future readiness for additional European locations. The scope includes smart-hands assistance for office infrastructure, end-user support, and IT environment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performing hands-on technical tasks: connecting, installing, and replacing devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshooting issues related to local connectivity, patching cables, access points (APs), Wi-Fi, printers, and general device setup.
• Providing support for HP laptops, iPads, Xerox C230 printers, and Sony touchscreens.
• Assisting with email configuration, company system access, and device enrollment.
• Delivering smart hands support and being available on request.
• Representing the client’s brand professionally during all on-site activities.
• Supporting the initial setup and scaling of IT infrastructure for future European office openings.
• User account setup and management in Microsoft 365.
• License tracking and renewals.
• Device health monitoring via Ninja or other RMM tools.
• VPN configurating for users.
• Checking connectivity issues with Elastic Beanstalk or EC2 (guided by DevOps team).
• Applying OS and software updates.
• Following GDPR/ISO requirements for device handling.
• Coordinating hardware shipment and remote setup.

Requirements

• Experience in hands-on IT support, especially in dynamic office environments, for 2+ years.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to hardware, basic networking, and peripheral equipment.
• Familiarity with commonly used business devices (HP laptops, iPads, Xerox printers, Sony displays).
• Working knowledge of system setup, email configuration, and mobile device management/enrollment.
• Strong hands-on IT support experience in office environments.
• Proficiency with Windows/macOS troubleshooting and basic network setups.
• Knowledge of HP devices, iPads, Xerox printers, and conference hardware.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and email configuration.
• Professional, client-facing demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond flexibly to urgent issues.
• Level of English – from Advanced.

Desired skills

• Experience with remote monitoring tools (e.g., Ninja) and GDPR/ISO standards.
