Go Developer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Go Developer for a project with a global ride-hailing platform. The role focuses on building solutions for document collection and verification during user onboarding.

The customer is an international ride-hailing and urban services platform with operations in 48 countries and over 280 million downloads. It uses a unique peer-to-peer pricing model and offers services such as intercity rides, deliveries, and financial tools for drivers. The platform is driven by a mission to promote fairness and social impact globally.

The project is focused on collecting and verifying user documents globally as part of the driver registration flow, with additional use cases for passenger data collection (e.g., disability discounts requiring proof).

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving the functionality of back-end services.
• Implementing new features and capabilities.
• Conducting code reviews, writing integration and unit tests.
• Optimizing data storage and report generation processes for large volumes of data.
• Modifying queue usage.
• Developing tools to reduce costs associated with external APIs.
• Building country-specific solutions based on app use cases.
• Meeting deadlines and participating in development planning in close collaboration with other team members.
• Participating in system design and architectural decisions with the team.

Requirements

• Experience as a Go Developer for 4+ years.
• Experience in developing and designing applications with a microservices architecture.
• Experience working with high-load systems.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and Redis.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (ELK).
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing and implementing APIs (Rest, GRPC).
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Knowledge of build and deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Kafka standards protocol.
• Interest in new technologies and development process automation tools.
• Responsibility, a team-oriented mindset, and willingness to grow.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with AWS.
