Summary

Andersen is hiring a Python Developer for a project with a global leader in well temperature control. The role focuses on modernizing a hydraulic wellbore simulator to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability in drilling operations.

The customer is a global leader in well temperature control with over 35 years of experience, providing innovative cooling systems and engineering services for oil, gas, and geothermal drilling. Its solutions enhance safety, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency in extreme environments, supported by a strong commitment to innovation.

The project is focused on modernizing an outdated thermal hydraulic wellbore simulator to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usability. The new solution will replace legacy tools, simplify data input, add real-time visualization, and combine calculations and analysis in one system, saving time and enabling more precise modeling of real-world conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing features for a desktop application.
  • Refactoring code and fixing bugs in a greenfield project environment (no legacy code).
  • Guiding the team by promoting and applying best practices.
  • Mentoring and overseeing junior developers.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Python Developer for 3+ years.
  • Hands-on experience with PyQt and PyTest.
  • Proven experience in developing desktop applications (Windows 11).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

  • Team or technical lead experience.
