Summary

Andersen is seeking an AQA Engineer (Java/JavaScript) for a project with a major banking software provider. The role involves testing and customizing new solutions in financial operations and reporting for external clients.

The customer is a market leader in delivering software products to banks, with development centers located in Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, and etc. The company develops microservices that are used to assemble solutions for more than 120 financial institutions, such as Uniqa, ING, Deutsche Bank, and others.

The project is developing new directions in banking solutions (financial operations, reporting), implementing and customizing them on the side of external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing manual and automated functional testing using Playwright and REST Assured.
  • Performing non-functional (e.g. performance, scalability, security) testing.
  • Participation in the development and evaluation of user stories, sprint planning, participation in daily standups and retrospectives.
  • Interaction with QA Gild (QA community Backbase).

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a QA Engineer (manual and automated) for 3+ years.
  • Hands-on skills in test automation (Java or JavaScript/TypeScript), API testing, and frontend testing.
  • Experience and understanding of CI/CD (Jenkins or similar).
  • Experience with at least one of the Selenium-based testing framework.
  • Experience testing API endpoints, preferably using REST Assured; Ready to perform both manual and automation testing.
  • Experience with Playwright (Protractor or Selenium) in Web UI testing.
  • Understanding of SDLC process, CI (understanding of working with Jenkins and/or GoCD).
  • Understanding exploratory testing, how to build testing processes inside the team.
  • Understanding scrum.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to bring a vision across and get the commitment to move everyone along.
  • Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.
