QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) for an aviation project. You will help test an in-flight retail app with complex integrations, enhancing passenger experience and payment reliability.

The customer is a global provider of digital onboard solutions, enhancing the passenger journey with connectivity, retail, and entertainment services. The company partners with over 50 airlines worldwide, with its technology installed on more than 2,800 aircraft and serving over 400 million passengers annually. The project is an in-flight retail app that enables passengers to make instant payments during flights. The application requires complex integration with various global payment systems and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Architecting, creating, and implementing a robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation framework from scratch using JavaScript/TypeScript and Appium.
• Configuring the entire automation infrastructure, including integration with BrowserStack device cloud and management of local target devices provided by the client.
• Authoring and maintaining automated test scripts for Android platforms (with future expansion to iOS), focusing on core functionality, payment flows, and device compatibility.
• Setting up integration with version control (Git), test runners, and reporting tools (e.g., Allure) to provide clear visibility into test results.
• Analyzing test execution results, creating detailed reports, and collaborating with the development team to identify, log, and track defects.

Requirements

• Experience with mobile automation testing, especially for Android, for 4+ years.
• Hands-on skills in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of Appium.
• Familiarity with BrowserStack or similar device farms.
• Knowledge of Git, test runners, and reporting tools (e.g. Allure).
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
