FullStack Developer (Go+Angular)

Summary

Andersen is looking for a FullStack Developer (Go+Angular) to work on a backend solution for a media-focused system. The project involves building a modern documentation platform for a major European broadcaster.

The customer is Germany’s national public television broadcaster. It is one of the largest and most renowned TV broadcasters in Europe. The company offers full-range generalist programming with a mix of information, education, arts, entertainment and sports. Its coverage provides both a broad view of the world and a comprehensive picture of Germany.

The project is a service for uploading and retrieving media files, mainly videos, integrated with internal storage and video systems, with a well-established code base and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Uploadportal ZDF, an internal platform for uploading, managing, and processing media content.
• Implement new features in frontend (Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and backend (Go).
• Work with Azure Cloud (Service Bus) and integrate with on-prem ZDF systems.
• Ensure smooth communication and data processing via WebSockets, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Spine API.
• Optimize storage and retrieval of media files using SQL, Redis.
• Collaborate with DevOps team on deployments and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and follow best practices.

Requirements

• Commercial Go development experience for 3+ years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure (Service Bus) and Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of SQL and Redis.
• Experience with Websocket.
• Background working with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Angular.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with RxJS and NgRx.
• Experience in Google CloudTerraform, Ansible for deployments
• Experience of working with Docker.
