Summary

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) with German for a project enhancing GIS and CAFM software, optimizing infrastructure management, and driving scalability and digitalization.

The customer is a German provider of GIS and CAFM solutions with over 30 years of experience, supporting public and private clients across Europe. Its services cover system integration, data management, consulting, and training, with applications in environment, energy, infrastructure, and facility management. As an Esri Gold Partner and Red Dot Award winner, the customer is recognized for innovation and reliability in delivering digital solutions.

The project is focused on improving GIS and CAFM software to optimize infrastructure and land management, reduce paperwork, support digitalization, and ensure scalability and long-term efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining backend services using C# (.NET).
• Building and enhancing frontend components with TypeScript.
• Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and performance.
• Implementing and consuming RESTful APIs for seamless frontend-backend communication.
• Ensuring code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Monitoring and improving application performance, reliability, and security.
• Participating in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Maintaining documentation for systems, APIs, and workflows.

Requirements

• Strong experience in C#/.NET for backend development for 3+ years.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
• Skilled in building and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator, comfortable working in agile teams.
• Focused on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Level of English – Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of German – Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• GIS (Geographic Information Systems) knowledge.
• ALKIS (Official Real Estate Cadastre Information System) knowledge.
