Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) in the EU for a large-scale project with an insurance client. The role focuses on testing and ensuring seamless integration of insurance services into partner platforms.
The customer is the world's largest P&C insurance company and the leading commercial lines insurer in the United States, with operations in 54 countries, it provides commercial and personal property-casualty insurance and supplemental health insurance. The company has administrative offices in Zurich, New York, London, Paris and elsewhere and employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide.
The project involves integrating the client company's insurance services into various partner platforms, such as banking applications and other product-based companies.
Technology stack on the project: JavaScript /TS, Playwright, Selenium, Gherkin/BDD, Postman, Fiddler, CSV, REST API, Jira, Agile/SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Writing automated tests from scratch for new projects, ensuring reusability across similar solutions.
- Testing both frontend and backend components of applications.
- Performing regression testing to validate stability and functionality.
- Maintaining and updating automated tests for existing projects.
- Creating and documenting comprehensive test cases following BDD principles.
- Collaborating with distributed teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Supporting continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 3+ years.
- Experience owning test plans and defining test strategies.
- Skills in testing web applications, REST APIs, and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, SSL, HTML, JS).
- Familiarity with tools like Playwright, Postman.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experienced with Jira and Jira testing concepts and constructs.
- Experience with Remote Distributed Teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Familiarity with Selenium, Gherkins, and Fiddler.
- Familiarity with optimization concepts.
