QA Engineer

Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer for a major European pet retail platform offering a wide range of products and services for pets.

The customer is operating over 1,900 modern stores across eleven European countries, this organization creates a comprehensive network for animal lovers from Denmark to Romania. It offers a wide range of pet food, accessories, and services both in-store and online, with a strong focus on creating a carefree world for pets. With more than 16,000 employees from over 50 nations, the company provides expert advice, supports animal welfare, and ensures a pleasant shopping experience with services like free customer parking, trunk service, and easy product exchanges. The group also features an extensive range of exclusive brands across all price segments, offering free samples and attractive prices.

The project is the largest online and offline pet store in Europe, offering a wide range of products and services for pets across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Actively participating in all Scrum ceremonies, including Grooming, Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
• Validating websites and applications at various stages (pre-release and post-release) under different platform and network conditions.
• Conducting exploratory testing using diverse strategies defined by the QA Lead.
• Assisting the EU QA team with investigations from the development side within the EU timezone
• Documenting and reporting discovered bugs to the QA Lead and team.
• Gradually automating high-priority test cases and integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline to improve long-term efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer for 4+ years.
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and initiative..
• Experience working in agile teams and using agile methodologies.
• Proven background in software testing, ideally within the e-commerce domain.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to justify testing decisions.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, and Bitbucket (Git).
• Practical experience in testing UI, RESTful APIs, databases, and SQL.
• Familiarity with common data formats such as JSON, CSV, and XML.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• German language proficiency.
