Andersen is hiring a OneShield Developer to support an international insurance company. The role focuses on integrating OneShield into existing systems to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance operations.

The project is focused on integrating OneShield into the client’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment with existing systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and support business operations.
Technology stack: OneShield Insurance Platform, Java EE, Spring, Ant, Maven, WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss, SOA, REST/SOAP Web Services, modern JavaScript frameworks & APIs, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Agile (Scrum, XP, Kanban, BDD, TDD), API Management, Cloud (serverless), Frontend & Mobile/Hybrid development.
Responsibilities
- Being involved in different phases of the SDLC across various development projects.
- Designing solutions and creating supporting documentation in line with the Hiscox Change Delivery Framework.
- Complying with and helping enforce reuse, design, coding, and testing standards, policies, and software engineering best practices.
- Working collaboratively with test teams during product testing and UAT phases to resolve assigned defects.
- Supporting code deployment across environments.
- Reporting status, issues, and risks to tech leads on a regular basis.
- Troubleshooting and solving issues arising in day-to-day processes while providing timely responses and solutions.
- Improving software engineering skills by completing development certifications.
Requirements
- Experience as a OneShield Developer for 3+ years.
- Exposure to insurance industry and/or OneShield insurance platform.
- Experience with Java Enterprise Edition.
- Experience with Java build tools such as Ant or Maven.
- Experience with application servers such as WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss.
- Experience with Spring and other Java frameworks / open source libraries.
- Experience with SOA and Web Services (REST/SOAP).
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and APIs.
- Knowledge/experience of relational databases – Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding technical design documents in the development space.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
- Dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience designing and implementing frontend applications.
- Experience with API Management platforms.
- Experience with cloud serverless applications.
- Experience with mobile/tablet development including responsive design and hybrid applications.
- Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, BDD, TDD.
- Insurance experience is desirable although not essential.
