QA Engineer (Almaty, Kazakhstan)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer in Almaty for a leading Kazakh bank. The role focuses on testing a mobile banking app to ensure its stability, usability, and compliance with security standards.

The customer is one of the leading commercial banks in Kazakhstan. The bank's main areas of activity are corporate and retail banking. It also actively participates in the securities market and currency operations in Kazakhstan. The customer has a network of branches and offices throughout the Republic, serving more than 100,000 legal entities and 1.5 million individuals.

The project is focused on testing the functionality of a mobile banking application, ensuring its stability, usability, and compliance with financial and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Creating test cases.
• Performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing of new features.
• Testing APIs, UI, performance, and load.
• Maintaining test documentation, including reporting on testing results and identified defects.
• Accepting developer tasks by verifying compliance with requirements and absence of bugs.
• Creating and maintaining bug reports in task management systems.

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role for 1,5+ years.
• Understanding of software development models.
• Knowledge and understanding of software testing classifications.
• Experience applying test design techniques in practice.
• Experience testing web applications.
• Knowledge of API testing.
• Proficiency in using Postman and Swagger.
• Ability to write basic SQL queries.
• Experience working with bug-tracking systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining various types of test documentation.
• Understanding of different STLC models.
• Experience organizing and conducting UAT testing.
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
• Responsibility, teamwork skills, and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
• Ability to work independently, estimate testing timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience in testing within the banking sector.
• Experience in non-functional, integration, and smoke testing of mobile applications (Android, iOS, Huawei, and Web platforms).
• Experience working with Git.
