Andersen is hiring a D365 Integration Engineer to build and support an integration platform for automated data exchange, transformation, and workflow orchestration in a large energy services environment.
The customer is a large energy infrastructure services provider operating in a regulated market. The company focuses on deploying and managing metering and monitoring assets at scale, supporting both residential and commercial users. It delivers installation, maintenance and data-driven energy optimization services, and is expanding into sustainability-oriented solutions aligned with broader efficiency and environmental goals.
The project is focused on developing an integration platform that manages data exchange between external partners and internal systems. It automates file processing, data transformation, and workflow orchestration, while providing business users with clear monitoring and control over incoming and outgoing data streams.
Technology stack: Dynamics 365, Dataverse, C#/.NET (plugins), Dataverse Web API/OData, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, D365 UI (forms/views/dashboards), CSV/JSON, ADLS Gen2, SFTP.
Responsibilities
- Building the D365 and Dataverse integration layer for four features in parallel: Integration Scheduling, Manual File Upload, Batch History, Exception and Monitoring Management.
- Implementing orchestration and job execution: scheduling UI, priority and dependency handling, job stages and statuses.
- Developing D365 plugins in C sharp and configuring Dataverse entities (Integration Schedule, Integration Definition, Integration Jobs, Batch History, Integration Exception).
- Creating business-facing monitoring screens and dashboards (exceptions, batch outcomes) visible in D365 without Azure access.
- Integrating with Azure Functions or Logic Apps and Synapse pipelines; exchanging technical results and errors per agreed contracts.
- Ensuring idempotency, retries and safe reprocessing for inbound and outbound file flows.
- Participating in code reviews, CI and CD via Azure DevOps; supporting DEV / TEST / PROD promotions and release notes.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers and the Integration Architect to align contracts, error taxonomy and non-functional requirements.
Requirements
- Experience building on Dynamics 365 and Dataverse (Customer Engagement or Field Service) for 2+ years.
- Strong C#/.NET experience, including plugin development, Dataverse Web API/OData, solution layering and ALM.
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate and Logic Apps for light orchestration; experience wiring Azure Functions.
- UI experience in D365 (forms, views, dashboards) for operational monitoring.
- Understanding of file-based integrations and formats (CSV, JSON) and basics of ADLS Gen2 and SFTP.
- Practices: idempotency, retries, correlation IDs, exception handling surfaced to business users.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Exposure to Azure Synapse pipelines or notebooks to read error outputs.
- Experience using Application Insights and Log Analytics for telemetry.
- Security basics: Managed Identity, Key Vault, role-based access in Dataverse.
