Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support a global payment solutions company by configuring and optimizing monitoring systems to ensure reliability and timely issue detection across banking platforms.
The customer is a global technology company in the field of payment solutions, providing secure transaction processing for banks, businesses, governments, and individuals worldwide. The organization develops digital payment infrastructure and offers value-added services such as analytics, loyalty programs, fraud prevention, and digital identity solutions.
The project is focused on configuring alert systems for banking platforms’ internal monitoring tools, ensuring timely issue detection and system reliability. The support team is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing these monitoring processes.
Responsibilities
- Deploying and managing EKS clusters and supporting AWS infrastructure.
- Implementing CloudWatch and Application Signals for advanced observability and alerting.
- Creating and maintaining custom metrics, alarms, and automated notifications (SNS, Lambda).
- Automating infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using IaC tools.
- Ensuring proper metrics-to-log and traces-to-log correlation for application workloads.
- Troubleshooting issues related to observability, networking, and IAM.
- Communicating progress, risks, and solutions effectively to stakeholders and clients.
Requirements
- Experience in AWS DevOps and observability engineering for 4+ years.
- Strong expertise in EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service) including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Deep knowledge of AWS CloudWatch, Container Insights, Application Signals, X-Ray, and CloudWatch Agent.
- Experience creating custom metrics, metric filters, composite alarms, and cross-account monitoring setups.
- Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (including StackSets).
- Solid background in Linux, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD automation.
- Understanding of VPC networking, IAM, private subnet routing, and endpoint configuration.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and tracing for distributed application monitoring.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with developers, CloudOps, and monitoring teams.
- Confidence in explaining technical solutions, presenting ideas, and defending proposals to gain stakeholder approval.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to build trust, clarify requirements, and adapt communication style to different audiences.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
