Summary

Andersen is hiring a SAP Consultant in Germany to support SAP transformation initiatives, focusing on implementing and enhancing SAP solutions and ensuring seamless integration with enterprise processes.

The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The company focuses on IT consulting, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed operations, supporting clients across various industries with complex digital-transformation needs. With decades of experience, the customer emphasizes innovation, reliability, and high security standards.

The project is is centered on the end-to-end delivery of SAP-based transformation initiatives across the client’s enterprise ecosystem. It encompasses the planning, execution, and coordination of SAP implementation and enhancement activities, ensuring smooth integration with existing business processes and the broader IT landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into SAP functional solutions aligned with public-sector or automotive domain needs.
  • Configuring SAP modules, defining master data structures, workflow logic, business rules and integration scenarios.
  • Conducting fit-gap assessments and recommending best-practice process improvements based on SAP standards.
  • Preparing functional specifications for development, including interfaces, enhancements, reports, forms and workflows.
  • Collaborating with ABAP developers, architects and integration teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Supporting public-sector requirements (funds control, procurement compliance, budget execution, transparency) or automotive requirements (production planning, logistics flows, quality checkpoints, JIT/JIS integration).
  • Participating in testing cycles (SIT, UAT), creating test cases, validating results and managing defect resolution.
  • Assisting with data migration activities, including mapping, validation, cutover planning and go-live support.
  • Preparing process documentation, configuration guides, training materials and user manuals.
  • Conducting workshops and trainings for key users and business stakeholders.
  • Providing post-go-live support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring solution stability.
  • Identifying opportunities for optimisation, automation or standardisation within SAP modules.

Requirements

  • Experience in SAP consulting for 6+ years, including hands-on participation in implementations, rollouts, or migrations.
  • Deep practical knowledge of at least one SAP module, preferably with domain relevance in Public Sector: SAP PSM/FM, PSCD, FI/CO, HCM for government, Grants Management, CRM for public services and Automotive: SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, EWM, Manufacturing/Shop Floor, JIT/JIS.
  • Strong ability to perform fit-gap analysis, configuration, customization, and integration within SAP landscapes.
  • Understanding of SAP S/4HANA processes and key differences compared to ECC.
  • Experience preparing functional specifications, test scenarios, configuration documentation, and training materials.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including SAP Basis, ABAP developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to support data migration activities (mapping, validation), SIT/UAT phases, and cutover execution.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate, ASAP, or equivalent structured delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills for stakeholder-facing consulting.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
  • Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
