Summary

Andersen is hiring a Junior iOS Developer in Kazakhstan. The project involves designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile and web apps with secure integrations.

The customer is one of the oldest and most reliable financial institutions in Kazakhstan, operating in the banking sector for over 30 years. It offers a full range of financial services for both individual and corporate clients, including business lending, mortgages, consumer loans, deposits, payment services, and digital banking solutions. The company focuses on reliability, innovation, and sustainable growth, helping clients achieve their financial goals and contributing to the country’s economic development.

The project is focused on designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile apps and a web admin panel. It includes authentication, biometrics, card tokenization, payments, and integrations with external systems, ensuring secure and scalable interaction through API Gateway, microservices, and Data Lake.

Technology stack: Swift, iOS SDK, REST API, JSON, Git, Swift Package Manager, Keychain, XCTest, Agile/Scrum/Kanban, Jira, Confluence, Figma.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing feature tasks and bug fixes under the guidance of a mid-level developer using Swift.
  • Integrating with APIs based on OpenAPI specifications, handling responses and errors.
  • Writing unit tests and basic integration tests.
  • Supporting the UI: building screens, adapting layouts for different devices and iOS versions.
  • Working with local storage and caching, implementing basic offline-mode scenarios.
  • Participating in CI processes: checking builds and identifying issues in pipelines.
  • Following code style guidelines and fixing remarks based on Checkstyle/SpotBugs – like tools for Swift.

Requirements

  • Experience as an iOS Developer for 6+ months.
  • Strong knowledge of Swift.
  • Basic knowledge of iOS SDK, REST APIs, working with JSON, and experience using Git.
  • Knowledge of Swift Package Manager and basic skills with dependency managers.
  • Basic understanding of app lifecycle, push notifications, background tasks, and Keychain.
  • Understanding of unit testing (XCTest).
  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum / Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
