Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer (Azure) in Abu Dhabi to build and support a secure on-premise infrastructure for a government digital platform, ensuring privacy, reliability, and system integration.

The customer is a large public-sector organization operating at the federal level, responsible for supporting executive decision-making, coordinating strategic initiatives, and overseeing nationwide programs. The organization plays a key role in shaping long-term development priorities and collaborates with multiple government entities and international partners. It invests in digital transformation, data-driven solutions, and advanced technologies to modernize processes, improve efficiency, and build scalable, secure platforms for mission-critical services.

The project is focused on designing and implementing a fully on-premise architecture for a hunting application, ensuring high data privacy, offline functionality, and tight integration with the customer’s existing IT landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Building, deploying, and supporting VM-based .NET server applications, including load balancing and active–passive DR.
  • Managing RHEL servers and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machines, including resource planning and basic administration.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for client–server applications.
  • Configuring and operating Nginx for traffic management and web application deployment.
  • Integrating and supporting miniOrange as an API Gateway and Identity Provider.
  • Integrating applications with Oracle DB, managing DB instances, and configuring backups.
  • Deploying, configure, and maintaining centralized logging and monitoring using Graylog, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Sentry.
  • Supporting integrations with Software AG integration bus, Deep Secure CDR, and FileNet.
  • Setting up, isolating, and supporting production and non-production environments.
  • Working within corporate network and security policies, including network segmentation, firewalls, IP tables, and TLS/mTLS configuration.

Requirements

  • Experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering for 5+ years.
  • Experience with on-premise infrastructure deployment and operations in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET server applications (VM-based), including build, deployment, load balancing, active–passive DR, and operational support at a moderate level.
  • Experience administering RHEL systems and virtual machines on Microsoft Hyper-V, including resource calculation and basic system administration tasks at a moderate level.
  • Advanced expertise with Azure DevOps as a VCS and DevSecOps engine, including designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for client–server applications from scratch.
  • Practical experience with Nginx for traffic management, web application deployment, and operational support at a moderate level.
  • Basic experience integrating miniOrange as an API Gateway and Identity Provider.
  • Experience integrating with Oracle DB, managing database instances, and configuring backup strategies at a moderate level.
  • Basic experience integrating Splunk into application and infrastructure monitoring ecosystems.
  • Experience setting up Graylog and Elasticsearch from scratch, including configuration and ongoing management at a moderate-plus level.
  • Experience setting up Prometheus and Grafana from scratch for monitoring and observability at a moderate-plus level.
  • Basic experience integrating with Software AG integration bus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including OU structure and access management at a moderate level.
  • Experience setting up and managing Sentry from scratch for application monitoring and error tracking at a moderate level.
  • Understanding of production and non-production environment setup, isolation, and operational support.
  • Basic experience integrating Deep Secure CDR and FileNet solutions.
  • Experience working within existing corporate network infrastructures, including network segmentation, IP tables, and firewall rules, at a moderate level.
  • Practical experience configuring TLS and mTLS for client–server applications at a moderate level.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
