Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer (AWS) to modernize an observability platform for an online gaming provider, migrating monitoring to AWS EKS with a Grafana stack using IaC and GitOps practices.

The customer is a global tech provider specializing in innovative solutions for the online gaming industry. They offer gaming platforms, sportsbook solutions, payment systems, and CRM tools, focusing on scalability, performance, and user engagement. The company operates across regulated markets and integrates cutting-edge AI to enhance player and operator experiences.

The project focuses on refactoring and centralizing the observability platform by moving observability facilities to AWS EKS using a Grafana-based stack. The team is responsible for designing and implementing the architecture using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and a GitOps approach.

Responsibilities

  • Designing scalable and resilient DevOps architectures that support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and integrating appropriate DevOps tools and technologies to automate and improve development, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure.
  • Designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure the health, performance, and availability of systems and applications.
  • Collaborating with security teams to implement best practices for securing DevOps pipelines, environments, and applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Integrating DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Fostering collaboration and communication between development, operations, and quality assurance teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Identifying opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and cost optimization in DevOps processes and infrastructure.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to disseminate expertise across the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer, DevOps Architect, or similar role for 4+ years.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps methodologies, practices, and principles.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM and VMware.
  • Experience with public clouds like AWS – mandstory, Azure, GCP.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, containerd and other cloud native tools.
  • Experience with one or more monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch and other technologies related to monitoring.
  • Linux and scripting knowledge, no matter Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, OLAP systems, or similar).
  • Knowledge in Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
