Andersen is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to enhance and support a large travel-sector web platform, improving functionality, performance, and overall user experience.
The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.
The project is focused on enhancing and supporting an existing web platform in the travel services domain. The team works on improving functionality, performance, and overall user experience while ensuring the platform remains reliable and competitive.
The position assumes 12 to 21 CET work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring the QA team, supporting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Building and maintaining effective QA processes and practices.
- Driving quality culture across the team and promoting shared ownership of quality.
- Defining and owning API testing strategy (manual and automated).
- Reviewing test approaches, test cases, and testing results.
- Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Participating in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews of QA engineers.
- Analyzing quality metrics and continuously improving testing processes.
- Ensuring quality is embedded throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Requirements
- Experience in QA and software testing for 3+ years.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
- Solid knowledge of API testing (REST, HTTP, status codes, authentication).
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman or similar).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to make quality-related decisions and set priorities.
- Understanding of testing processes, test design techniques, and quality metrics.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
