Andersen is hiring a Python Developer with AWS (Lambda) to build and enhance serverless savings account features for a UK digital bank, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based banking services.

The customer is a UK-based digital bank. This innovative financial institution specializes in delivering straightforward savings and lending products through a modular, tech-driven approach. With operations rooted in Wales and London, it focuses on underserved customer segments by offering tailored solutions such as dynamic-rate personal loans and simplified mortgage services. It continues to grow rapidly, combining fintech agility with the stability of a fully licensed bank.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing savings account functionality within an existing AWS serverless architecture. The work involves implementing and improving specific components to support reliable, scalable, and secure banking services.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing parts of AWS serverless solutions for notice accounts.
  • Working within existing architectures and services.
  • Following established security, scalability, and resiliency standards.
  • Producing clean, well-documented, production-ready code.
  • Collaborating with the Tech Lead and wider delivery team.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Python Developer for 2+ years.
  • Experience delivering projects on AWS Serverless for 2+ years.
  • Experience with AWS Serverless (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB).
  • Backend development experience.
  • Ability to work with existing and legacy systems.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.

Desired skills

  • Banking or financial domain experience.
