Summary

Andersen is hiring an Android Developer (Kotlin) in Almaty to build and enhance a mobile banking app for business clients, delivering secure, scalable features for daily finance and account management.

The customer is a major systemically important commercial bank established in the late 1980s and headquartered in the country’s financial hub. It serves millions of retail and corporate clients, offering a broad range of lending, card, deposit, investment, and foreign exchange products. The bank prioritizes digital transformation, data-driven efficiency, and sustainability, while cooperating with international institutions on the development of green finance and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

The project is focused on implementing and enhancing modules of a new mobile banking application for business customers. The team delivers secure and user-friendly functionality that supports daily financial operations, account management, and digital services for corporate users while ensuring reliability and scalability of the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and evolving new and existing products.
  • Optimizing application performance.
  • Integrating with external APIs.
  • Testing and documenting code.
  • Collaborating with the team on tasks.
  • Learning new technologies and improving personal expertise.
  • Participating in all team activities.
  • Following documented processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in Android application development for 2+ years.
  • Advanced knowledge of Kotlin, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with Android, including a deep understanding of the platform, architecture, lifecycle, and core components.
  • Experience with Clean Architecture, MVI Redux/TEA, coroutines (Flow), advanced Kotlin features, design patterns, Compose, and GitLab CI.
  • Understanding mobile application performance optimization principles.
  • Asynchronous programming, with confident use of coroutines and a strong understanding of async principles.
  • Experience working with MVI and MVVM architectures.
  • Knowledge and practical application of key design patterns.
  • English level – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience working in fintech companies.
  • Experience working with Jetpack Compose.
